The Centre for Development Economics and the Department of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics organized Winter School 2004, which was conducted over the period December 27-30 at the Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics.

The broad theme for the Winter School was the application of standard economic theory to various public policy problems, especially those of greater relevance to developing economies. While the principal target audience for the Winter School was the community of research economists, the lecture themes were broad enough to appeal to a wider audience including sophisticated economic practitioners.
